There was a puppy classic at this show for all dogs who had won a BPIG the year prior. So Rolex was entered and won 4th place out of an entry of 35 dogs. I was so proud of him! Thank you to judges Hillary Oaks and Cathy Cinammon. Picture can be found in the SpecialD Stars page.
At the end of the month we flew out to Lloyd Minster where Rolex was awarded a Group 4 from Ann Hennigan.
August Updates
Oct 10 07
After taking the month of July off and actaully getting to the cottage every weekend it was back to show scene in August. We started off with MCA which is one of Manitoba's largest 4 day dog shows. On Sunday Rolex was awarded with a Grp 4 by judge Alan Pepper. Because this was the Group VI Club of Manitoba Booster we were awarded with a lovely stuffed teddy bear which immediately became the property of our 5 year old daughter Lynne.
Two weekends later we ventured off to Yorkton SK where Rolex was awarded with a Group 1 from judge Jan Buchanan, Group 2 from judge Chris Nelson and a Group 3 from Leanne Bateman. Picture can be found in the SpecialD Stars page.
Off to the United States
Jul 03 07
We did a few shows in the United States in the month of June. Starting out with Fargo, then a few weeks later going to the Cambridge MN shows.
Our whippet, Chase, earned his second major in Fargo by winning - Winners Male, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex. In Cambridge Chase earned a few more points by winning Winners Male and Best of Winners. Chase now requires 3 singles in the US.
Rolex made his adult debut in the US. His first time down there he was just 6 months old. He won Best of Winners all three days in Fargo. In Cambridge he won Best of Winners two of the three days. Unfortunately there were not enough dogs for majors but he is off and running on his American Championship.

In March I flew out to Toronto to take Bella in the ring. She did very well taking the Breed all three days and making the cut in a very competitive Group VI line up. Thank you to judges Mr. Archie Warnock, Ms. Phyllis Wolfish and Ms. Eve Whitmore for Bellas breed wins. She needs 3 points to complete her championship which her owners are hoping to achieve with her over the summer.
Rolex Update March/April 2007
Jul 03 07
We had a slow start to 2007 with the first show of the season being on hold due to a series of snow storms and undrivable roads. We ventured out to Brandon for the last day of the show weekend and came home with a Group 4th thanks to Mr. Bruce Owen.
Our next outing was off to Battleford, SK where Rolex was awarded with a Group 1st, a Group 2nd and a Group 4th. Thank you to judges, Janet Buchanan, James Ham, and Rick Fehler.
Updates for 2007
Jul 03 07
The year is half over and I have not even touched the web site. We have been out an about at shows both in Canada and the US with the dogs. As well I have made a few trips to Toronto to show one of Lily's pups who was sold to a home out there. It has been a very busy time for us since April and here are just some of the highlights. All show pictures can be seen in the SpecialD Stars page.
